We are just in the final process of testing the online registration for Mainstage. We plan to have it ready next week, just in time for the completion of the GVZ Festival, and I know the winners will be keen to book for their trip to Kamloops!
Well if you follow my blog, you may recall that I said we were working on options for the Awards ceremony so that people could choose to attend only the awards, or the awards with a full seated dinner. I am happy to report that Vance has used his negotiating skills to get the dinner for just $30!! If you want to see the awards, it will be only $10. And if you have to leave before the event, we are hoping to do a live streaming right from our webpage! The awards ceremony will be in the theatre of the convention centre, so it will have much more of a feel of an awards ceremony.
Our online May newsletter has been posted! We will have the links to each month in the column to the left of this article. If you want to take a sneak peak (it is still being dressed up) click here on May Newsletter
We have some very good news. Mr. Terry Lake, Minister of Environment and MLA for Kamloops-North Thompson called Vance on March 22nd to report that our BC Gaming grant request for the 2011/2012 early intake was approved. Theatre BC will be receiving a $45,000 BC Gaming Grant! This is of course excellent news and we would like to thank Minister Lake in working with us to help improve our funding for programs such as Mainstage and our other activities!
